On this day, March 15, Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC.
This day is commonly referred to as the "Ides of March."
If Caesar had been aware of his impending assassination, he could have said something like:
"Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.
On this Ides of March, let us be wary of the enemies that surround us.
Trust not in false promises and veiled threats, for the fate of Rome lies in our unity and strength.
Let us stand together and fortify the Republic, for in unity, we shall overcome all adversities."
