The Importance of Strength Training for Women's Health | Dr. Jaime Seeman | TEDxGreenhouse Road
Society has shaped the way we look at muscles and strength. Often viewed as a masculine trait, muscles do not have a gender. We are in need of a culture shift as muscles are one of the greatest tools women have in their overall health. Listen in as Dr. Seeman breaks down the myths that prevent women from getting serious about strength training. Dr Jaime Seeman is a board certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with a special interest in integrative medicine, exercise science and nutrition. After competing as a collegiate athlete she endured her own health struggles which ultimately shifted the way she practiced medicine forever. Her lifestyle forward approach is unique and she leads by example. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
