In today’s rapidly evolving social climate, many people and organizations are grappling with the increasing pressure to comply with ideological beliefs that run contrary to long-held principles of free speech, objective reasoning, and personal autonomy.
Nowhere is this tension more pronounced than in the current push by transactivists to compel individuals, businesses, and institutions to embrace and affirm ideas rooted in gender ideology—an ideology that, for many, is based on subjective mental constructs rather than objective, observable reality.
We stand firmly in favor of freedom of thought, free expression, and the right to operate our business in accordance with these values.
We believe that anti-discrimination laws, by their very nature, should be applied to universally recognizable traits, such as race, sex, and religion—traits that are objectively identifiable and cannot be changed.
Applying these same protections to mental constructs or ideologies conflates physical traits, which can be objectively quantified, with subjective mental states and beliefs, which cannot.
The Misapplication of Anti-Discrimination Laws
Historically, anti-discrimination laws have been about protecting individuals from unfair treatment based on immutable characteristics, such as race, gender, disability, and religion—attributes that are visible and unchangeable.
These laws serve an important purpose in preventing the marginalization of individuals based on traits they cannot control.
However, applying these same laws to gender identity, which is a subjective internal feeling rather than an objective trait, is both disingenuous and damaging.
Gender identity is not a universal characteristic that can be objectively verified. Instead, it is a personal belief or feeling, unique to each individual, with no external grounding or measurable standard.
When the law treats these subjective beliefs the same as immutable characteristics, it undermines the foundation of anti-discrimination protections, opening the door to ideological enforcement rather than true protection from harm.
The Distortion of Dignity
At its core, the concept of dignity in anti-discrimination law is meant to protect individuals from being denigrated based on physical traits they cannot change—traits that have historically been used as a basis for prejudice.
Unfortunately, the trans community has distorted this notion of dignity, using it as a tool to demand affirmation of their subjective gender beliefs from everyone else.
What is framed as a fight for dignity is, in reality, an effort to compel others to participate in an ideological framework that is not grounded in objective reality.
By conflating dignity with the requirement to affirm subjective identities, transactivists are manipulating the public into supporting their ideology, even when it goes against logic, reason, and many people's deeply held beliefs.
This form of gaslighting pressures individuals, businesses, and institutions to accept something that is fundamentally about **mental states and personal beliefs, not objective traits.
Freedom vs. Harm: The Illusion of Damage
One of the central arguments made by transactivists is that refusing to use preferred pronouns or challenge their gender identity beliefs causes harm.
However, the harm they claim is not based on objective damage but on a manipulative narrative that seeks to enforce compliance through guilt and social pressure.
Pronouns and gender identities are mental constructs, and compelling individuals to use them under threat of legal action is a clear infringement on free speech and freedom of belief.
The notion that harm is caused by not affirming someone’s personal belief system is not rooted in reality—it is a tactic used to create social and legal consequences for anyone who dares to dissent.
In reality, there is no tangible harm caused by failing to affirm someone’s gender identity, and the harms being cited are exaggerated to justify the tyrannical enforcement of this ideology.
This is where the danger lies: by using subjective claims of harm to justify compelled speech, transactivists are attempting to force individuals and businesses to align with an ideology that many believe to be unscientific and, in many cases, damaging.
The true harm here is to free thinking, open debate, and personal autonomy—the very foundations of a free society.
Upholding Majority Rule and Objective Logic
A functioning society must be built on objective logic and reason, not the subjective mental constructs of a small minority.
The vast majority of people understand gender dysphoria to be a mental health condition, not an identity that must be affirmed and protected at the expense of everyone else’s freedoms.
When gender ideology is used to compel the majority to affirm beliefs that are not grounded in objective reality, we enter dangerous territory.
We must insist that freedom of speech and freedom of action for the majority outweigh the desires of a small group whose confused mental state demands that everyone else play along.
When we allow society to be governed by subjective beliefs, we risk the erosion of truth, reason, and rational discourse.
We reject the notion that subjective beliefs should be granted the same legal status as immutable traits, and we stand firmly in defense of free expression and personal autonomy.
The Tyranny of Ideological Enforcement
Ultimately, the issue comes down to this:
"You have to agree with my ideas and play my game, or I will call the police and have you arrested and punished."
This is the essence of the transactivist agenda—the enforcement of an ideology through coercion and legal consequences.
We cannot and will not support this kind of ideological tyranny.
We believe in freedom of thought, freedom of speech, and the right to conduct our business in a way that aligns with objective reality and rational principles.
We reject any attempt to force us to comply with ideologies that we do not share, and we stand with those who value their autonomy and freedom of expression in resisting this manipulative agenda.
As a free society, we must be able to disagree with ideas without fear of punishment.
It is only through open debate and the free exchange of ideas that we can preserve the integrity of truth and reason in our society.
